Town lines up reserve game

After their weekend fixture was called off, Newark Town first team will face the reserves in a friendly at Collingham today to help prepare them for next week’s cup clash.
Town face top-of-the-table South Normanton at home in the Floodlit Cup on Wednesday.

With the weekend’s fixture called off because of the frosty conditions and no game scheduled for this weekend, Town hastily arranged the in-house fixture.

Manager Tony Joynes said: “The unenforced break is not ideal preparation for the cup game but all we can do is make sure everyone who takes the field against South Normanton is in the best condition they can be.”
