A delighted Southwell produced their third win of the season at home to fourth-placed Balderton to move out of the bottom two of South Notts League Division A.
Youth was the order of the day in Southwell’s innings as the talented Matt Wookey hit 58 and Grant McCarthy scored 31 out of a total of 209 for nine, while Balderton had their West Indian pace bowler Marlon Franklyn to thank as he added another four wickets to his growing tally this season.
