BROWNE- On April 3, 2001, after a short illness, Annie, formerly of Upton, passed away, aged 86, in Johannesburg, South Africa. The funeral took place on April 10 in Johannesburg and a memorial service will be conducted at Newark Cemetery in due course. Will be fondly missed and deeply mourned by her son Colin, daughter-in-law Christine and grandsons Matthew and Laurie.

NOBLE- On April 6, 2001, in Bassingham Nursing Home, Violet, formerly of North Scarle, aged 82. Dearly loved wife of the late Wilf, much loved mother of John and Anice, mother-in-law of Daphne and Trevor, dearest nanny of Zoe, Vicky, Tracey, Richard, Sam, Jamie and Andrew, great-nanny of Katy and Billy.
