GOURLEY On August 18, 2006, Betty, of Healey Close, Collingham, and Holly House, London Road, Newark. It is of comfort that ''Granbo'', after a full and active life sought, and at last found, peace, surrounded by her family, and nursed most compassionately during the final week of her life at Red Rose Nursing Home, Farndon. Betty was a much loved mother and godmother and ''the best grandmama in the whole wide world'' as we often told her. She was a best friend to her grandchildren, and her company, support and humour will be sorely missed by us all. Betty had a wide circle of wonderful friends who brought colour and fun to her life, particularly at Torksey Golf Club, Collingham, Winthorpe and Lincoln. A service for Betty will be held at St John's Church, South Collingham, at 3pm on Friday, September 15 and afterwards at Holly House so we can all celebrate her life. We all loved her dearly.
