Welcome to the Newark Business and Recruitment Fair

For the second year Kelham Hall will provide the venue for an exhibition providing advice on all aspects of a subject important to us all -business success.

Organised by the Newark Advertiser in partnership with Newark Business Venture, Newark Business and Recruitment Fair encourages and supports local companies and entrepreneurial spirit.

The fair will be held at Kelham Hall on October 21. Open from 12 noon until 7pm, the event is free to enter and designed to appeal to anyone striving to achieve business success.

There will be a range of exhibitor stands in the Dome offering advice, products and services covering every aspect of starting and running a business. From budding entrepreneurs that have a business idea and new start up businesses looking for advice on how to take their business to the next stage, to those more established organisations looking to expand or increase their market share, the extensive range of exhibitors on-hand to offer advice will ensure a visit to the event is a worthwhile one.

There are two new elements that have been introduced to the event this year – an interactive/ showcase area and a recruitment element.

The recruitment element has been introduced for the first time to increase the benefits of the event for both visitors and businesses attending. People looking for employment will be able to take advantage of the CV matching service offered by the Newark Advertiser.

A range of laptops and an experienced member of staff will be on-hand to guide visitors through the process of completing their CV on-line. It will then be matched against all suitable vacancies in the area. This completely free of charge service will be available to everyone attending the fair and can also be found at www.newarkadvertiser.co.uk/jobs.

In addition recruitment specialists will be on-hand to offer advice to both employers and employees together with organisations that specialise in returning people to work, training and career advancement.

The interactive/ showcase area is designed to promote the success of local business people.

Those attending the event to offer advice and answer questions will include Mr John Soulsby of 4fx Healthcare Ltd, which recently won a Queen’s Award For Outstanding Innovation.

Anita Dobson of Healthier UK will be giving head massages and offering advice on how to reduce stress.

Ann Martin of Ann Martin Associates will be touring the trade stands with a microphone, asking exhibitors to explain what services and products they offer.

Following the success last year, a speed networking lunch specifically designed to ensure those attending meet up to 40 new business contacts will also be held.

The price to attend the lunch is £20 plus VAT and includes a hot two course buffet lunch with timed networking slots running over a one hour period.

Trade stands and places at the speed networking lunch are still available, to book one or for more information about any aspect of the event please contact the Advertiser's promotions executive, Cassandra Holmes.
