The winner of the Beaumond House sleepwalk competition is Poppy Beckett (7) Poppy coloured her picture in neatly and I loved the touch of sparkle on the buildings. Well done Poppy. Thank you Sophie for your words on Beaumond House Hospice. Sophie writes: “Beaumond House is a very special place. The people there are kind and caring and they help people who are sick or old and can’t do certain things. It is a very nice place. “They send nurses to people’s homes so they can be properly looked after and sometimes people go to stay at Beaumond House because they need looking after all the time. “Lots of the money used at Beaumond House comes from the people in the local community so that’s why they do the sleepwalk to raise money so the house can pay for food and heating, etc. “A lot of people need the staff at Beaumond House and I bet someone you know has needed them, so that’s why it is important that we help them to help others.”
The winner of the roundabout colouring competition was Molly Burrell (5). Molly’s picture was very bright and neatly done and I loved the sparkling moon and stars. Well done Molly. WE HAD joint winners for the spider competition. Sisters Sophie and Abbie Chambers-Asman were equally good in their own right. I liked Sophie’s poem about spiders’ webs and Abbie extended her picture to include an amazing web. Well done to you both. THE winner of the otter colouring competition was Abbie Chambers-Asman (9) who not only coloured in the picture really well, but also added the ten times table to the blackboard and cut-outs of Daisy and Dan to the picture. THE winner of this week’s colouring competition is Abbie Chambers-Asman (9). Abbie made a huge effort, making a decorated frame for her picture. She added wool to make hair and wrote all about her doll that her granny gave her. Well done, Abbie. THIS week’s colouring competition winner is Aiden Walker (11). Aiden made it look like the diver was jumping into a shark’s mouth which made us all laugh here at the Junior Advertiser. The picture also carried a serious message that we should be sensible and be safe, reminding us that water can be dangerous. We must all be careful near rivers, lakes, ponds and the sea. The winner of the Bee Protection Poster is Macy Gore (6). Macy drew a lovely colourful poster with lots of bees with flowers for them to collect pollen from and a very happy sunshine! Well done Macy.
THE winners of the monkey colouring competition are Alexander Lloyd (6) and Richard Lloyd (8). I thought the way they extended the pictures to include more monkeys was excellent. Alexander drew a monkey world and Richard created a very colourful picture. Well done to them both.
