Wedding Fair 2010

Weddings are a constantly changing reflection of lifestyles. Each year brings new fashions in everything from flowers to stationery, and brides-to-be can easily find themselves adrift in a sea of endless choices. Add in occasional family disagreements and military-style logistics, and planning a wedding suddenly seems a lot less romantic.
Luckily, the Advertiser Wedding Fair is back to help make the big day go smoothly.
Held at Kelham Hall on Sunday from 11am until 4pm, the fair is one of the largest of its kind in the East Midlands. It features a wealth of exhibition stands, fashion shows and entertainment. From cake makers and catering companies to florists, jewellers, make-up artists, travel agents, photographers and venues, the range of services has been carefully selected to be wide and balanced.
Stands will fill The Dome, Carriage Court, Cedar Room, Music Room, Peacock Room and Drawing Room. Light refreshments are available throughout, and a licensed bar is available from noon.
There will be plenty of bridal fashions and outfits for bridegrooms, members of the wedding party and guests of all ages.
Page boys and bridesmaids will be relieved to find up-todate, fashionable styles that will not compromise their street credibility. Wedding attire for traditional and civil ceremonies will also be showcased on the catwalk.
First impressions count on wedding days and arriving in style is perhaps the earliest chance to make a statement. Outside Kelham Hall, a selection of cars will be displayed and there will be a marquee with stands to give plenty of ideas on marquees and how to decorate receptions.
Planning a wedding is a mixture of fun, frustration and ruthless organisation. From those just starting out to those looking for the finishing touches, it can all be found at Kelham Hall. Tickets cost £4 and include champagne and canapés and a free bridal goodie bag for the bride (while stocks last).
Tickets are available from the Advertiser reception, online by clicking here or on the door.
