Witness appeal after report of stabbing

Police in Newark attended a report of a stabbing in Quibbells Lane at around 8.30pm on Wednesday.
A 33-year-old man was taken by ambulance to hospital where his condition is stable.

The offender, who fled, was described as a white man, 5ft 6in tall, aged 20-40.

Anyone in the area at the time and who may have information about the identity of the offender is asked to call Newark CID on 0300 300 99 99 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
