Aspiring to new heights

After the success of its Homebuy scheme at other developments in the Midlands, Peveril Homes has introduced it at Spire in Newark.

After the success of its Homebuy scheme at other developments in the Midlands, Peveril Homes has introduced it at Spire in Newark.

It is hosting a special weekend for potential buyers tomorrow (Sept 6) and Sunday (Sept 7).

Peveril Homes has adopted the Government’s own home scheme to help buyers on to the property ladder.

There are a lot of clichés about buying a first home, but one that holds true is that it is harder than ever for most young people to get their first foot on the ladder.

With this in mind Peveril Homes has introduced Homebuy at the Spire development on Winthorpe Road, Newark.

The initiative, which takes its lead from the Government-backed scheme to help bridge the gap between house prices and salaries, is aimed at widening home ownership and increasing housing affordability.

“For first-time buyers this could be the lifeline they have been looking for,” said Angela Thomas, sales and marketing manager at Peveril Homes.

“First-time buyers are often more than pleasantly surprised when they come to Peveril Homes as we can offer all kinds of help for people trying to get a foot on the property ladder.

“By adding the Homebuy scheme to our easy moving tools we are providing a stepping-stone to assist buyers into full home ownership.”

First-time buyers who are strapped for cash are now eligible under the new scheme which came into force on the April 1. It is also aimed at key workers such as nurses and police officers.

The benefits of the scheme are: l No risk, you pay only 60% of the value of your property l Funding for 100% of the property value l Interest-free for the first five years l Ideal for first time buyers l The property is 100% yours (this is not shared equity) Angela Thomas said: “Whatever your circumstances, come and talk to us — you never know what kind of assistance we might be able to provide.

“You can do that right now by calling our sales consultant at Spire, and who knows, you could soon be moving into your new Peveril home.”

The housebuilder is offering an exclusive range of two and three-bedroomed homes at Spire with prices starting from £127,950.

Home of the week is plot three, a three-bedroomed semi-detached Ashby that is priced £149,950 and includes free flooring throughout.

Anyone wanting more information about the development should visit Spire this weekend.
