The entries for the Upper Witham Six-a-side Championship are starting to come in fast, but any team that has not yet entered has until this Sunday, with entry money of £90 a team.
Entries will not be accepted after this date because of the complexities of the pegging and pay-out system on this match. Match organiser Colin Walton expects to have the same number of teams as last year, but there are a few extra pegs he can use at Foston. Draw times will be clarified next week.
The weekend saw the worst ever turn-out for a Sunday match at Collingham’s Millennium fishery because a lot of the regulars were snowed in and couldn’t get to the venue.
The Help For Heroes charity is quite rightly getting plenty of support from the angling community at the moment and another event was held at the Widgeon Flights Fishery (Leon’s Pond) on Bowbridge Road.
