The curtain was brought down on the Newark and District Double Board Darts League’s Premiership season at the Castle and Falcon with the end of season play-offs to determine the singles champion.

The opening match saw Pete Baldwin go 2-0 ahead against Kevin Oxberry before the 2005 runner-up fought back to level the match. In a tense final leg both players had opportunities to clinch their semi-final place, but it was Baldwin who held his nerve to seal victory with double two.
