Newark Palace Theatre hosts One Night In Dublin, Forbidden Night and Beyond The Barricade

The best of Irish music comes to Newark’s Palace Theatre as the audience heads for One Night In Dublin.

Irish band The Wild Murphy’s are inviting people to head to Murphy’s Pub tonight (February 8) for a night of music and entertainment.

The band will perform a host of hits by the likes of The Pogues, The Dubliners, The Fureys, The Saw Doctors, including Galway Girl, Tell Me Ma, Dirty Old Town, The Irish Rover, Brown Eyed Girl, Seven Drunken Nights, Whiskey in the Jar, Wild Rover and Molly Malone.

This award-winning seven piece band are widely regarded as one of the best Irish bands in the UK, having played thousands of shows since starting back in 2005. The Wild Murphys have played all over the UK and Ireland as well as Spain, Greece, Dubai, and Germany.

That is followed tomorrow night (February 9) by Forbidden Nights as seen on Britain’s Got Talent.

The show is celebrating ten years of muscles, mayhem and more than 11,000 shirt rips!

Finally, on Wednesday (February 14) Beyond The Barricade returns to the Palace.

The UK’s longest running musical theatre concert tour features past principal performers from Les Miserables and delivers over two hours of the best of Broadway and the West End, ending of course with a stunning finale from Les Mis.

The concert features David Fawcett (Valjean) Andy Reiss (Enjolras & Resident Director for the National Tour of Les Miserables) Katie Leeming (Eponine) and Poppy Tierney (Cosette), together with a live band who capture the feel of the original orchestrations of the chosen musicals.
