21-year-old arrested after a report a man tried to force 86-year-old man to withdraw money from cash machine in Newark




A man, 21, has been arrested after a report a man tried to force an 86-year-old to withdraw money from a cash machine.

The incident happened on Thursday, January 9, outside of the Co-op on Bowbridge Road, Newark, at around 9.50am.

A member of staff and customer intervened, and the man in question walked off.

Police officers investigating the incident have now arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of theft.
