A splash of colour will soon welcome visitors to Newark at the Beastmarket Hill roundabout.

Newark and Sherwood District Council’s parks and gardens team have planted the garden beds surrounding the civil war statues with shrubs.

The circular planting scheme, designed by Nottinghamshire County Council’s highways contractors Via, includes evergreen shrubs and lavender, with a border of grass to complete the design.
