The Hub at Chatham Court, Newark hosted a Easter egg hunt

More than 25 families attended an Easter egg hunt, which was run for a second year at a community hub.

From 3pm to 5pm around 12 children and their parents enjoyed activities and refreshments at The Hub, Chatham Court, Newark.

There was a prize for each child, regardless of the number of eggs they found, however, the one who found a golden egg received a bigger Easter egg. Two-year old Enzo was the winner of the main prize.

Mayor of Newark Laurence Goff said: “It’s the second year we’ve done it. It is great for families and seeing people help and participate is amazing.

“Most of the children don’t have English as a first language so seeing children mingle and making friends is great.

“People spread the word and that’s exactly what we want, more participation from the public.”
