A-levels 2024: Celebration as 25% of Southwell’s The Minster School’s grades are A and A*

The Minster School is celebrating the ‘fantastic’ achievement of its sixth form students, as a quarter of all its A-level grades are A and A*s.

The Southwell school has also recorded an impressive 84% of grades at C or above and an overall average grade of B.

Students have the school have been said to have ‘demonstrated exceptional academic excellence’.

Among those who scooped up top grades was Leo Vadgama, who is now all set to study computer science at Cambridge University.

Leo achieved an A* in physics, A* in further mathematics, A* in mathematics, and A in computer science.

Head Ben Chaloner, expressed his delight at the school’s performance, and said: “We are incredibly proud of our students’ achievements and are confident that they are well-prepared for the next chapter of their lives, whether it be further education, apprenticeships, or entering the workforce.

“We look forward to seeing the continued success of our students and wish them all the best in their future endeavours. The Minster School is committed to providing a nurturing and challenging educational environment that enables students to achieve their full potential.
