National Highways report that the A46 closed in both directions between Brownhills and the A1/Winthorpe roundabouts in Newark due to overturned HGV near Cattlemarket

The A46 remains closed this morning (Wednesday) after a lorry overturned and closed the road last night.

National Highways have confirmed that the A46 will be closed in both directions between the A1 at Winthorpe and the A617 Cattlemarket roundabouts this morning due to the incident, which happened at the Brownhills roundabout.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and allow extra time for your journey this morning.
