Family disputes over inheritance have been on the rise for a number of years, writes Lesley Purveur, of Larken & Co.
With many people willing to take legal action to claim a bigger share of estates, there has been a reported increase of nearly 50% of the number of Inheritance Act claims since 2018, and that, of course, does not include the thousands of disputes that are settled or abandoned before the case goes to court.
