All change at town library
Southwell Library will close for two weeks for refurbishments as part of a Nottinghamshire-wide improvement scheme.
Self-service equipment will be installed during the closure, from Monday, February 22 to Monday, March 8.
Changes to layout and stock organisation will be carried out.
The county council, which runs the library, believes self-service will free up staff to give them more time to help customers.
The closure means annual events to mark the opening of the library will be cancelled.
Library manager Mrs Nicola Ellis said lots of events were planned for when the library re-opened including a performance of the play How To Build A Rocket, and African music by ZubopGambia.
“We will have lots of things on when we re-open but we have got a lot of work to do in between,” she said.
