National Highways confirm all lanes on A46 near Newark now open after overturned lorry recovered

A major road has now fully reopened following the recovery of a lorry which overturned earlier today.

National Highways have confirmed that all lanes are now open on the A46 southbound and northbound, between the A1 at Winthorpe and A617 Cattlemarket Roundabout at Newark.

The earlier incident involved an overturned lorry on Brownhills Roundabout, Newark, which has now been cleared.

The incident led to extensive delays along the A46 and A1 on both sides of the carriageway.

Some delays of 10 minutes remain on the approach.
