Newark Business Awards: A night in pictures
The wait is over and the winners of the Newark Business Awards 2022 have been announced
The winners of the ten categories were announced in a black-tie gala ceremony at the Lady Eastwood Centre, Newark Showground on Friday night.
It was attended by around 300 guests, who started the evening with a champagne reception.
The annual awards are organised by the Advertiser under its parent company Iliffe Media.
And among those attending on Friday was company founder Edward Iliffe.
Advertiser editor Sharon Hodkin said: “It was another wonderful evening of celebration.
“Everyone I spoke to said how much they had enjoyed the occasion.
“It really was fantastic to see everyone having such a good time while celebrating all that is good about local industry, and Friday night proved what a great place Newark and Sherwood is for industry.”
Chosen charity for the night was the Newark-based Children’s Bereavement Centre.
The charity’s chief executive, Kate Baxter, spoke to guests about its vital work.
A collection on the night, including pledges, raised £2,500 for the cause.
The big winner on the night was Janice Holmes, of Janice Rose Lingerie, who picked up the Best Independent Retailer Award and was highly-commended in the Customer Care and Businessperson of the Year categories.
Winner of the first Judges’ Prestige Award — chosen by our independent judges from all the finalists — was Kelham House Country Manor.
