Nottinghamshire Police appeal for information after burglary at Halliwell Close, Newark, sees jewellery, Tag Heuer watches, an Xbox with 10 games, a laptop and HP Notebook stolen
Engagement rings, and Xbox, and laptops were among some of the high-value items stolen during a Newark burglary.
The items were stolen from the property in Halliwell Close, sometime between Wednesday April 16 to Monday April 21 while the occupants were on holiday.
Items stolen from the property include two engagement rings, other gold jewellery including a gold chain and diamond gold ring, a Rolex watch, two Tag Heuer watches, an Xbox with 10 games, a laptop and HP Notebook.
Nottinghamshire Police officers have released pictures of the stolen jewellery in the hope that someone in the community has seen them or been approached to buy them.
Detective Constable Liam O’Kane, who is investigating the incident, said: “This has understandably caused a great deal of distress to the occupants.
“Burglars have broken into their home and stolen treasured pieces of jewellery which hold lots of sentimental value.
“Burglary is a callous and despicable crime and that is why we take all reports extremely seriously. We are doing everything we can to bring those responsible to justice.
“Today, we are appealing for the public’s help.
“We have released pictures of the family jewellery in the hope that the public will help assist us with our investigation.
“Any help with our investigation would be much appreciated to ensure we get justice for the family affected by this deeply upsetting crime.”
If anyone has seen these pieces of jewellery, has been approached by anyone trying to sell them, or bought these items of jewellery or electronics, or has any information, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 0229 of April 21.
