Nottinghamshire Police arrest man after incident on North Gate, Newark

A 61-year-old man has been arrested after a 39-year-old man suffered injuries to his neck, including a stab wound.

Nottinghamshire Police were called to a property in Northgate at 6.02pm yesterday evening (Saturday), where the victim suffered injuries to his neck.

The injuries – one a stab wound — are not thought to be life-threatening or altering.

The suspect was arrested just before 7pm the same night on suspicion of GBH and remains in custody.
