Nottinghamshire Police arrest man after brick thrown through window in Halam Road, Southwell

Police have arrested a man after a brick was thrown through a house window.

Officers were called following the incident at a cottage in Halam Road, Southwell, on Thursday afternoon (August 4).

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage in nearby Halam later in the evening.

He remains in custody for questioning.

Sergeant Christian Hurley, of the Newark and Sherwood neighbourhood policing team, said: “To throw a brick through the window of a residential property is very dangerous.

“It could have caused serious injury but, thankfully, no one was harmed in the incident.

“We have a suspect in custody and the investigation is ongoing.”
