Arrests made in connection with Bingham assault

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with an assault in Bingham.

Police were called to a report that a 14-year-old girl had been assaulted in the tennis courts of Bingham Leisure Centre at around 5.30pm on August 1.

Two 14-year-old girls have been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Police have also been made aware of a video circulating online after it was reported to them around 11.15pm on August 3.

This is being treated as a public order incident and enquiries continue.

Police are advising people that there are active legal proceedings in connection to this case and therefore prejudicial comments or usage of the video may place you in contempt of court.
