Chris Priestley visits the Magnus Church of England Academy in Newark





An author aimed to inspire students during a visit to Magnus Church of England Academy, Newark.

Chris Priestley shared his new book, The Last of the Spirits, which is a taken on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

He said: “I hope that students will come in to the school library and choose books about things that interest them, -any subject, that is how I became a reader myself.”

Laura Donaldson, senior leader of English and literature at Magnus said: “We bought over 130 copies of the book as we wanted to ensure that students receive a book as a gift at Christmas.”
