Award winner

As the area representative for Nottinghamshire for the National Sweet Pea Society I would like to congratulate Lou Ashurst for his award as Farndon’s 2009 citizen of the year (Outstanding Citizen, Advertiser, January 15).
The award is well deserved as Lou also sells all his sweet peas for charity.
He has also found time to help me on my allotments without which, because of health problems, I would not have been able to continue growing sweet peas.
Thanks Lou for your help, your contribution to the national Sweet Pea Society and the citizens of Farndon.
