Basic maths

Many parents are worried about their children missing lessons, especially the younger ones.

However, I think some of the adults could do with going back to school to learn some basic arithmatic.

We are strongly advised to keep to social distancing, for example, two metres apart (6ft 6ins) but I have noticed all the two-metre signs and posters, including ones stuck to the floors of shops and supermarkets, state two metres (6ft).

I know it is only 6ins but if they cannot get that right, why bother in the first place?

Perhaps this is why the virus is on the rise again? — M. MARVIN, Buttercup Close, Balderton.
