Emma Sullivan has been nominated in The Midlands Beauty Industry Awards in the 5* Nail Salon category
A beauty therapist has nailed her first few years in business and has been nominated for an award.
Emma Sullivan, of Wolsey Close, Newark, has been nominated in The Midlands Beauty Industry Awards in the 5* Nail Salon category.
The awards winners were selected after businesses posted their social media pages on the awards website, and those with the most votes were put through to the finals.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Holiday Inn in Birmingham on Sunday.
Emma has been running her business, Simply Nails and Beauty, for four years.
She started it because she wanted to run a business from home, and put herself through a nail course to get started.
“It is a real passion of mine, and I wouldn’t do anything else now,” she said.
Emma said she was overwhelmed to be nominated for the award.
She said: “I take great pride in my work and it’s fantastic when you get a little recognition.”
A spokesman for the Midlands Beauty Industry Awards said: “The awards will shine the spotlight on the talented professionals that have shown great passion, commitment and innovation to the industry, who often don’t get the recognition they deserve.
“The ceremony will provide a great platform to the beauty experts to showcase their brilliant work and reach potential clients, helping them to decide who they’ll trust.”
