Bike marking event will be held at Southwell Leisure Centre by Nottinghamshire Police to held make it easier to reunite stolen bicycles with their owners




Nottinghamshire Police will be hosting a security bike marking event this Saturday to assist bike owners if they ever fall victim to theft.

The event will take place at Southwell Leisure Centre on Sunday, February 4 from 10am to midday.

"We are pleased to announce that we will be at Southwell leisure centre with free anti-pick barcodes to mark your bikes," said a spokesman from Nottinghamshire Police.

"The bikes are then registered with The National Cycle Database so if you are unfortunate to have your bike stolen it can be easier to trace and return to you when recovered."
