Signing at Strays in Newark for author of children's book series The Adventures of Henry the Hairy Hedgehog
An author is visiting a book store to sign copies of her latest tale.
Heather Norman, the author of children’s book series, The Adventures of Henry the Hairy Hedgehog, will visit Strays book shop on Middlegate, Newark, on Saturday, December 7.
The signing is to celebrate the third instalment of her Henry The Hairy Hedgehog collection — Henry At The seaside.
“The stories are about an adorable, cuddly hedgehog who has long soft hair instead of prickles and gets into all sorts of mischief,” said Heather.
“He meets two children called Molly and Max, who try to look after him and keep him safe, but Henry is too inquisitive.”
Heather originally wrote the story for her grandchildren, who loved stories about hedgehogs, but it soon developed into a bigger idea.
“It has just taken off,” she said.
“We have even done some of the illustrations in one book and have suggested many a story line.
“I have had around 300 copies printed because of how big it has gotten.
“I am very proud of it and there was a lot of interest last time.”
The third book follows the The Adventures of Henry the Hairy Hedgehog and The Adventures of Henry the Hairy Hedgehog on the cricket field.
Heather will be signing books from 10am.
