Where in Rushcliffe you can sign books of condolence for Queen Elizabeth II





Details about where the public can sign books of condolence in the Rushcliffe area have been released.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has outlined arrangements for residents to sign books of condolence and lay flowers if they wish following the passing of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II.

Residents can also now sign books at Rushcliffe Arena, every day from 9am to 5pm until further notice and at Rushcliffe Customer Service Centre at the following times; Monday September 12, 8.30am to 5pm; Thursday September 15, 8.30am to 5pm; Friday September 16, 8.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday September 17, 9am to 5pm.

Flowers can be laid on the Croquet Lawn of Central Avenue, West Bridgford.

The site was chosen because of the central location and good transport links at the heart of the Borough’s largest town.

A statement released by the mayor of Rushcliffe, councillor Tina Combellack, said: “It is with great sadness to learn of the death of Her Majesty The Queen and a monarch who gave strength to so many for so long around the world and epitomised leadership with humility and dedication.

“She has been a figure in all our lives for as long as many of us can remember. We share the Royal Family’s mourning for her loss and will be informing residents in due course how they can pay their respects to acknowledge her life and passing.”
