Ollerton residents protested outside County Hall this morning ahead of a budget meeting at which cuts to many services in the town were expected to be approved.
About 150 protestors, including more than 30 from Ollerton, turned up to object to Nottinghamshire County Council's proposed budget.
The leader of the Tory-led council, Mrs Kay Cutts, came out to address protestors and was greeted with boos and heckled throughout.
