Fiskerton cum Morton Sports and Gala to host summer fun day at The Arthur Radford Hall and Sports Ground

From a penalty shootout competition with goalkeeper Scott Loach to a teddy bear picnic, a village is set for a bumper summer fun day.

The annual event, hosted by the Fiskerton cum Morton Sports and Gala Association, will boast all the classic fun day favourites — a bar, stalls, raffle, face painting, competitions, welly wanging, tug-o-war, and more.

This year there’s even more fun to be had, with a penalty shootout competition with Scott Loach, Derby City goalkeeper and an obstacle course by Southwell Rugby Club who will be promoting women and girls’ rugby.

For £2, children under five can take part in a teddy bear picnic, from 2pm to 2.30pm, where youngsters can bring along their favourite soft toy for songs, story time, a biscuit and drink.

There will also be live music from Minster School pupils Emily and Annabella.

The fun day will take place at The Arthur Radford Hall and Sports Ground, Cooks Lane, Morton, from 12pm to 5.30pm.

It will raise money for the Fiskerton cum Morton Sports and Gala Association, which is a charity and runs the sports ground.
