More volunteers are needed at Ollerton Citizens' Advice Bureau to cope with a rise in recession-related inquiries.
In the last six months of 2009 the bureau raised more than £375,000 in additional benefit income for people and helped clients to deal with more than £4.3m-worth of debt.
There has been a large increase in the number of people seeking advice on redundancy, benefits, mortgage arrears and debts on household bills.
As a result, the bureau has extended its opening hours and needs volunteers more than ever.
