Fiskerton resident celebrates 30th birthday of business Focus Consultants

A businessman has celebrated the 30th anniversary of the launch of his consultancy company — which started from his home dining room.

Focus Consultants was started by Fiskerton resident, Kevin Osbon in October 1994 with business partners Ian Stevens and Karl Marriott.

The anniversary celebrations saw 70 staff members and partners enjoy a special event at the Galleries of Justice National Museum of Law at the Shire Hall on High Pavement, Nottingham.

Mr Osbon delivered a 20-minute speech at the celebration dinner, highlighting the work of the past 30 years, and thanked the team for their hard work.

He said: “I am incredibly proud of the team and all of these amazing achievements of the last 30 years.

“We have impressive growth plans over the next few years and I’m really excited to work with the team to realise our ambitions.

“The 30th birthday celebration was a great event enjoyed by all and a fitting tribute to recognise this tremendous landmark on our ongoing journey.”

Focus Consultants is a multi-disciplinary construction consultancy providing a range of professional advisory services including Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Environmental Surveying, Contract Administration, Economic Development and Regeneration.

Over the past 30 years, it has grown from Mr Osbon’s dining room to a £7 million annual fee turnover that manages over £300 million of projects and programmes each year.

Recently they acquired Newark-based MES Building Solutions which are based at the Newark Beacon on Cafferata Way, to strengthen the planning and compliance consultancy skills provided by the Focus Group.
