Buskers in town
Four buskers will be playing in Newark Market Place on Sunday to raise money for the Children’s Bereavement Centre, which is based in the town.
Musician Clive Rudd, of Newark, came up with the idea and offered his services to busk.
The centre’s corporate and community engagement co-ordinator, Caz Grant, said the idea had grown into a busking day, which they hoped would get bigger each year.
There will be a craft and artisan market, so it is hoped there will be plenty of shoppers in town.
The busking starts at 11am, when Just Benn will play for 45 minutes. He will be followed, from noon until 12.45pm, by Clive, who will also end the session from 2pm to 2.45pm.
The other buskers, Mikey and Malc, will play from 1pm until 1.45pm.
