Nottinghamshire Police find 150 cannabis plants during raid of Newark property

A police raid uncovered nearly 150 cannabis plants in a Newark property.

The drugs were found in a property on Yarnsworth Road, Middlebeck, this morning.

No arrests have been made.

A spokesman for Nottinghamshire Police said: "Officers acting on intelligence carried out search at a property in Yarnsworth Road, Newark, shortly after 7am this morning (Monday).

"Around 150 cannabis plants were discovered inside. The plants have been taken away and will be destroyed. Remedial work was carried out to fix dangerous alterations to the property’s electricity supply and an array of growing equipment was also put beyond use.

"Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 101 of 27 of June 20."
