The offenders failed to stop and escaped on foot in the incident in Newark last night
Newark Police seized a car in Newark last night after the two occupants failed to stop.
Officers ordered the vehicle to stop on Lincoln Road, and the car was abandoned a short while later on Yorke Drive with the two occupants making off on foot across the playing fields.
A spokesman from Newark Police said that the offenders escaped, despite the assistance of Police Dog Kobi and a police helicopter from Birmingham, but a quantity of stolen tools were found in the vehicle.
