Cards for good causes

Charity Christmas cards are available at Newark Parish Church.
The card shop was opened by the Mayor of Newark, Mrs Rita Crowe, on Wednesday. It will be open Wednesdays to Saturdays from 9.30am to 3.30pm until December 12.
Cards in support of 28 charities are on sale. The charities include Macmillan Cancer Research, the National Autistic Society, Barnardo’s, the Rainbows Hospice For Children and Young People and Save The Children.
Mrs Crowe said: “I would just like to say thank you to the parish church and the volunteers who have done such a fantastic job.”
The curate at the church, the Rev Tim Pownall-Jones, urged people to support the good causes.
