Cause of Radcliffe house fire established after several crews including Newark tackled blaze




The cause of a house fire has been established after several crews, including Newark, worked to tackle the blaze.

Firefighters from Newark, Bingham, London Road, West Bridgford and Eastwood attended the house fire on Cropwell Road, Radcliffe, on Monday.

The blaze had been put out by 6.30pm but crews remained on scene overnight to monitor hotspots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished in all areas.

A cause of the blaze has now been established.

Following a fire investigation, the cause of the blaze has been deemed accidental.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "The house fire on Cropwell Road, Radcliffe-on-Trent, was extinguished by 6:30pm last night.

"Crews remained on scene overnight to monitor hotspots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished in all areas.

"Following a fire investigation, the cause of the fire has been deemed accidental.

"Thank you to members of the public for your patience while we worked to tackle the fire."
