Newark Emmaus Trust donated over £1000 after quiz at Swan and Salmon in Newark




A pub has raised over a thousand pounds to support a charity dedicated to improving the lives of young homeless people.

A quiz night at the Swan and Salmon, sponsored by Ringrose Law, Newark, raised £1200 for Newark Emmaus Trust.

Ninety-six quizzers gathered in teams of six or less at a cost of £6 per person, which included a chip cob and a game of bingo.

Attendees also got the chance to play Sticky 13s.

Nicola Burley, ceo of the Trust said: “We are hugely grateful to Ringrose Law for sponsoring this event for the second time and big thanks to the Swan and Salmon for providing the perfect venue for us.”

The next charity quiz will take place on Thursday (September 11) at the Swan and Salmon and supported again by Quizmaster Paul Richardson and Ringrose Law.

Alex Bennett, head of Marketing at Ringrose Law highlighted how good it was to already have another date set and that the Ringrose Law team was ‘delighted’ to sponsor the charity for another event.
