Newark District Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2022 presentations
Some of the best pubs in Newark and Sherwood are set to be crowned.
Hosted by the Newark Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), the winner presentations will take place on Saturday and Monday.
Newark District Pub of the Year and Newark Cider Pub of the Year award will be made to Final Whistle in Southwell at 1.30pm this Saturday.
Anyone from Newark wanting to attend should catch the number 28 bus from the bus station at 12.20pm.
The presentation of Newark Town Pub of the Year will be made to the Organ Grinder at 7.30pm on Monday.
What's more, CAMRA'S Newark Beer & Cider Festival will return from May 26 to 28 this year — and it'll be a an event to remember as the festival hasn't been able to go ahead since 2019.
The event needs volunteers to serve the drinks and run the door, token and membership stands so Newark CAMRA is recruiting now.
All you need to do is fill in and return the form at newarkcamra.org.uk/volunteer/
"If you haven’t done it before, volunteering at the Beer Festival is great fun and a chance to meet and work with fellow branch members," said Newark CAMRA.
"Volunteers are crucial to the smooth running and success of the festival and without you, the festival would not exist."
