Newark's Robin Entertainment children's activity centre thriving under new ownership
A children’s play and activity centre is thriving under new ownership and after a refurbishment.
Robin Hood Entertainment opened in the former Leo’s Play Centre off Maltkiln Lane, Newark.
The business has extended the play frame, added two trampolines and a zip line.
Owner of Robin Hood Entertainment Tim Dallison has made many improvements to the site.
He said: “I bought the business but we have completely gutted it, so there is no real comparison to the previous business that was here.
“We have now got a roof that snows and rains bubbles so it has a magical effect. The kids are blown away by it.”
There is also a sensory room for younger children and children with disabilities.
Tim added: “I believe I am the only one in the Newark area that has a sensory room. A room for them to go in, touch things, play and see the lights, a full sensory experience.
“It’s just a nice little room tucked away from the play centre. It’s a completely purpose-built room.”
Now that restrictions from the pandemic have eased, Tim hopes to hold many events throughout the year and make the business more of an entertainment hub for the town.
The centre also offers party packages for children and theme nights for adults, such as casino nights, karaoke or Peaky Blinders.
The business has also launched a new menu for its café and offers a takeaway service in the immediate area.
