Charity Framework and the choir of Southwell Minster attempt to find nation's favour Christmas carol
Everyone loves Christmas carols. But which ones do we love the most?
Charity Framework and the choir of Southwell Minster have invited the public to find the nation’s favourite carols and raise funds for charity.
Until Thursday, December 10, the public has the chance to vote for their three favourite carols in return for a donation.
Funds raised will split between Framework in helping homeless and vulnerable people across the East Midlands, and Southwell Minster to maintain its centuries-old musical tradition.
The three most popular carols will then be performed by the Southwell choir in a special carol service on Wednesday, December 23, at 7.15pm on the minster’s YouTube channel.
Framework urgently needs public support to continue responding effectively to increasing challenges presented by the pandemic.
Similarly, Southwell Minster has suffered a significant loss to its income through coronavirus due to closure, the cancellation of numerous services and events, and the loss of donations from visitors and congregations.

The event is supported by Southwell opticians Andrew Spybey and Associates.
