Church service at St Mary Magdalene to resume tomorrow (July 12)

Services are set to resume at Newark Parish Church on Sunday.

Church authorities at St Mary Magdalene said they were excited to be back for the first time since covid restrictions halted services in March.

New start times will allow for a full clean between services.

Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate together, while adhering to social distancing and guidelines that are in place in church.

Holy Communion will be at 9am on Sunday, followed by contemporary Holy Communion at 11am.

The evening youth service will resume in August.

Traditional Holy Communion will return on Wednesdays from July 22 at 10.15am.

At present it is not possible to re-start services at St Leonard’s, because the church is not allowed to use the Bridge Community Centre.

It is envisaged that over the next few weeks, this restriction will be lifted, and from then, there will be 10am traditional Holy Communion at St Leonard’s.
