Southwell Racecourse offering free tickets to Newark Advertiser readers for the Halloween fixture races on October 31
Ahead of a spook-tacular evening of sport this Halloween, Southwell Racecourse is giving every Advertiser reader the opportunity to claim free tickets for an evening at the races.
On Thursday, October 31, the racecourse will be hosting its Halloween fixture.
Featuring a stacked card of eight flat races, everyone is invited to enjoy the exciting action trackside.
But there is more to the evening than just race action as the racecourse has a whole host of spooky fun planned for all the family.
Alongside the horse racing, there will be a fun themed scavanger hunt.
And prizes are on offer for the most creative costumes in the best fancy dress competition — so be sure to look your spooky best.
The Advertiser is delighted to once again be linking up with the racecourse following the success of the Advertiser Ladies Day in August, which was attended by more than 9,000 people.
It is also the latest event to mark Southwell Raceourse’s re-opening following months of flood repairs.
A year ago events were cancelled and the racecourse was forced to close for several months after been submerged in the floods caused by Storm Babet.
Now fully operational again, the midweek racing fixture offers its own appeal, allowing visitors to skip the usual hustle and bustle of a weekend fixture and enjoy and evening of racing under the lights with family and friends.
Gates open at 2.45pm, with the first race starting at 4.45pm and the last taking place at 8.15pm.
Tickets can be bought in advance through the Southwell Racecourse website starting at £14, but to claim a free ticket to the all you need to do is enter the code FREE-NEWADV at the checkout.
Later this year the racecourse will be hosting a Winter Ladies Day on November 2, and recently announced their Festive Fixtures with live music in the run up to Christmas and New Year.
