Reader's letter: Clean up after your pets

Two weekends ago my husband and I cycled through Sconce and Devon Park, Newark.

We were appalled to see the number of dog owners letting their pets run free over play areas and football pitches.

Do they not realise the risk of disease that leaving their dog excreta behind can cause?

Where are the dog wardens when we need them?

I must admit, all dog owners are not the same, but to those who do not clear their dog mess up, think again. ­— A.WELLS, Newark.
