Tuxford Walk of Life Museum and Musem of the Horse ask the community to share their stories ahead of National Storytelling Week

A village’s museums are appealing to the community to share a story ahead of National Storytelling Week.

The Walks of Life Museum and Museum of the Horse in Tuxford will display the stories during the national week from January 27 until February 4.

All age groups are invited to take part in the competition and write a story. There will be a prize for the winning story of children up to 11 years, those aged between 11 and 16 and adults.

People can get creative with their stories, writing from personal experience or allowing their imagination to flow.

There is no limit to minimum or maximum word count and themes can vary from funny stories to animal adventures, people and places.

People are asked to send their stories by January 20. They can either drop their entries at the museums or email them to dianehunt08@btinternet.com.

Each story has to include the participant's name and contact details.
