Nottinghamshire County Council launches Community Hero Award to recognise those who go above and beyond for their community

Nominations are being sought for Nottinghamshire County Council's Community Hero Award.

The council wants to hear about people who go the extra mile for a neighbour, an organisation or their community.

Council chairman Kevin Rostance said: "The award gives us the opportunity to celebrate the wonderful people of Nottinghamshire and say thank you to many unsung heroes who do amazing work within their local community, which can sometimes go unrecognised."
